Environmental Policy
Witherbys are a sheet fed lithographic printer and publisher, established
since 1740. Our mission is to provide customers with high standards in every
respect. In recognition of the importance of assuring high standards of
environmental responsibility, Witherbys have implemented an environmental
management system to enable us to achieve our key aims.
We are committed to prevention of pollution and compliance with relevant
legal requirements and codes of practice. We are committed to continual
improvement, with a specific focus on our objectives of:
- Reducing solvent emissions,
- Reducing energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions,
- Reducing volumes of waste sent to landfill.
To this end we have established environmental targets and programmes, and will work with customers and suppliers where appropriate to achieve these objectives. Our staff are a vital part in ensuring that our environmental management system is successful and our objectives achieved, and we therefore develop staff awareness and offer training to support this.
